Program notes:
This is a piece about silence
and quasisilence and no silence, about tension and distention, about
one movement.
A number of processes, that are
no more than progressions between two opposed points, appear both in the
global duration of the piece, and also compressed in small fragments: from
no continuity to continuity, from "dissonance" to "consonance", from "soli"
to "tutti", from imitation to reverberation, from low to high register, from
fast to slow tempi. The form results from a constant game between the different
levels of energy like the duration of a phrase, the expression of extreme
registers, the stability or instability of a texture or even the process
itself.
